We accept students at all levels from beginner to professional: an interest in singing and the desire to learn & improve your skills is all we require!
Our team combines decades of teaching experience to provide high-quality award-winning instruction. We tailor a personalized approach for each student based in one-on-one vocal & music skills training plus opportunities for coaching & performance training in musical theatre, classical, & popular styles for students young & old, with a special focus on high school & university ages. We work to create a stimulating, serious, and fun learning environment where students can grow and develop their abilities.
While indeed we can and do help working & aspiring performers to excel & achieve their long-term goals, we realize not everyone aspires to perform solo in public, so we're eager to support all singers including those who may have little (or no) vocal background but are simply motivated to add music into their lives in a way it may never have existed for them before. While we have regularly uncovered 'diamonds in the rough’ who then choose to pursue performing, we're always glad to support people who simply want to discover their voice & sing for their own pleasure or to tick off a bucket-list item!
For 2025-2026, we offer in-person lessons in a specially designed studio space as well as quality options for online and hybrid lessons.

We welcome students at all levels from beginner to professional, in multiple styles, without requiring an audition, only dependent on available space in our schedule.
For recitals, auditions, & performances, our accompanists provide coaching for, Musical Theatre, Classical, & Popular, including languages, vocal styling, interpretation, & musical elements.
We provide a safe and welcoming environment for students from beginner to professional to learn & grow. Our instructors have all been thoroughly vetted, including background checks.
Our standard September-June schedule of 36 lessons allows some flexibility. We never charge unfair or unconscionable penalties for cancellations, and are happy to make allowances for illness & conflicts.

For auditions from school & amateur to professional, we provide guidance in all elements including repertoire selection, presentation, how to dress & what to expect when you walk into the room.
Organization of all the elements of preparation for participation in festivals & competitions. For Musical Theatre, that includes costuming, staging, acting, choreography, etc.
For those interested in these programs, we provide comprehensive support, including repertoire selection & preparation, ear training, and musical & language coaching.
Current & former students have appeared on stages all around the world, performing both as solo artists and with groups ranging from local amateur to the highest levels of professional, in every genre from popular styles to musical theatre to classical & opera. Among the many venues in which they have appeared are Carnegie Hall & Lincoln Center in New York City. Studio members regularly excel in music festivals & competitions including the Ottawa Kiwanis Festival, OMFA Provincial Music Festival, FCMF National Music Festival, Musique-jeunesse [Québec], and notably the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Program. Honors achieved include Musical Theatre Open & age-level solo & duet titles and Classical Open, Diploma, & age-level titles at both the OMFA Provincial & Ottawa Kiwanis Festivals, plus Open Popular, Open Classical and age-level titles at Musique-jeunesse, and placement at the FMCF National Festival.
For high school students & others applying to university performance programs, we guide you through the application process, selection, preparation & coaching of audition repertoire, and making of audition recordings as required. We advise the student in how to present themselves & what to expect on audition day and after. For those looking to attend university in Ottawa, David is an Associate Performance Instructor at Carleton University, where he has enjoyed great success guiding students through Bachelor of Music programs in Classical, Musical Theatre, & Popular Voice. We've helped students be accepted into almost every major Canadian university as well as many in the US.
